Rent Our Church Sanctuary

Special events call for special venues! Linwood United Church in Kansas City, MO rents the Sanctuary for weddings, and Wesley Hall and the attached kitchen for parties, receptions, and other church activities.

Sanctuary – $600.00

Notes

A deposit of ½ of the total fee amount is due when reserving your date. The remaining balance is due and payable on or before the day of the event.
Current tenants receive a 50% discount on rental fees for organizational events only. Members in good standing of current tenants may receive a 25% discount on rental fees for personal events.
Linwood United Church members receive a 75% discount on rental fees.
“Event Package” of $50.00 minimum allows for two (2) hours for rehearsal or set up the day before your event. Each additional hour is $25.00.

Building Access Procedures

It is the responsibility of the Applicant/Organization Contact Person to notify the designated Linwood United Church Building Representative prior to the time access to the specific area is needed. An additional charge of $50.00 per trip is due for this service.

Building Closing Procedures

It is the responsibility of the Applicant/Organization Contact Person to notify the designated Linwood United Church Building Representative thirty (30) minutes prior to the end of the event so that they may be present to secure the building at the close of the event. We expect everything must be cleaned up and back in order by 10:30 PM. An additional charge of $50.00 per trip is due for this service.

Directions to Our Church

From the North

Highway 71 south, exit 29th and 31st Street. Turn east (left) on 31st Street, second traffic light. Proceed on Highway 71 until Olive (about 4 blocks). Turn south (right) on Olive – One Way Street. Turn Left at 2nd driveway into the parking lot.

From the South

Highway 71 north, exit Linwood Boulevard. Turn east (right) on Linwood. Turn left at driveway just passed the church, ½ block after Olive. Proceed to the parking lot behind the church.

From the East

Interstate 70 west, exit Jackson. Turn south (left) under the highway. Turn west (right) on 31st Street (1st traffic light). Turn south (left) on Olive, first left after Prospect, Olive is a One Way street. Turn Left at 2nd driveway into parking lot.

From the West

Linwood Boulevard east, turn left at driveway just passed the church, ½ block after Olive. Proceed to the parking lot behind the church.

Parking

Parking is located at the back of the building where there are entrances to the church offices, Sanctuary, and Wesley Hall. Parking is also available on the street on Olive and Linwood Boulevard.

Some of Our Community Outreach Programs

1st Wednesday Giving the Basics

The 1st Wednesday of each month at 10am we give out basic household supplies and personal care items like laundry detergent, deodorant, toothpaste etc.. All are served on a "first come first served " basis!

Food Pantry

Fridays 10:00 AM – 12:00 Noon (or until the food runs out) in Wesley Hall

Friday mornings in Wesley Hall the Linwood United Food Pantry assists folks with bags of groceries. Each person requesting food for their household will complete an Intake Form that will verify need based on family size and circumstances. No appointments required. All are served on a “first come first served” basis.
